Leonardo da Vinci/Comenius/Grundtvig application process

Process for applying for Leonardo da Vinci/Comenius/Grundtvig project funding
  1. Telephone your national agency and ask if your school is eligible for the grant?
  2.  Fill in the online application form from your national agency including a budget for the project
  3. Wait for approval from the national agency
  4.   Search for a partner abroad like us,
  5. Co-operate and sign agreement  with a partner in another European countr
  6. Host sends a letter of intent to be signed by applicant group 
  7. Agree on a fee/budget with host company in another European country
  8. Begin preparations to travel
  9. Send your students for work experience and English or teachers for training or Adults who want to learn in an adult context here etc
  10. Host organisation facilitates your needs; provides the course or work experience, accommodation and all connected services.
  11. Finally carry out the project.

Free initiatives to improve language skills

The European Union encourage students and adults to take up lifelong learning programmes to improve their language skills and to explore work placements. These programmes are a unique opportunity for vocational schools/private schools and companies. They provide 100% funding to groups and individuals who wish to travel abroad to enhance their experience in both language and cultural learning.
Vocational schools, companies, private individuals, teachers and those in career guidance from both the public and private sectors can avail of funding in order to enhance their experience of both the working atmosphere in Irish companies while at the same time interacting both professionally and socially using their English language skills thus expanding their vocabulary and helping them connect and communicate with local people and businesses.
Funding is available from The leonardo da Vinci programme for vocational schools, teachers, administrative staff in schools, guidance counsellors in state training agencies and charities.
The Grundtvig programme provides funding for teachers and adult education students, who wish to experience life, culture and education in other countries.
